Bartleby:
a person who (for whatever reason) stops doing something he or she used to do beforehand. Named after "Bartleby", the main character in Herman Melville's short story "Bartleby the Scrivener: A story of Wall Street", a clerk who refuses to do any task required of him with the words "I prefer not to."
